Fear

I hate to admit it but I have put off getting a crown done for about 5 years now. I have been fortunate so far in having pretty healthy teeth. I have only needed one filling which I had done about 16 years ago in one of my back molars. That filling has been deteriorating and was so large I really needed a crown. The dentist was willing to try to re-fill it but warned me to might break. -- Which was exactly what happened.
I am somewhat claustrophobic and just the thought of sitting there with all the people in my face for hours just makes me break out in a sweat. I finally decided to bite the bullet and just do it.
My stomach was in knots and I was very anxious. My friend Charyl is her dental assistant and helped put me at ease. We got started and I closed my eyes and they started to work. And you know what? It really was not that bad. I got myself all worked up for nothing.

You know what this is don't you?

Only the most magnificent party food ever!
Buffalo Wild Wing's boneless chicken wings!

Asian Zing is my downfall.
It's so spicy a little of you melts with each bite but you just can't stop.

Pictures

This is my daughter and her boyfriend Andrew. They were nice enough to sit for me so I could take some pictures.

It's been so hot it was just too unbearable to do anything outside. We finally got a cool evening so off we went.

As you can tell they are very photogenic.
Don't they look sweet!

Afterward we went for snow cones. Mine was blackberry with cream. Yum!

Seasons

The first thing you thing you think of when someone asks you to describe a season it might be its temperature. To me I think of its sounds.
Fall has the rustling of leaves and the chatter of squirrels. Winter is still and quite. Spring has the exciting crash of thunder from its storms. Summer can be deafening. The cicadas in the trees practically scream at you. We went for a walk in the woods and it was so loud we had a hard time hearing each other.

Dogs make the best people.

They are non judgemental.

Always forgiving. (No matter how many times you fall over them.)

Willing to overcome any obstacles. (He does not even notice he is missing that front paw.)

Always listen without interrupting when you talk.

And the simplest things give them pleasure.

Perhaps we should a take a little lesson from them and our lives would feel more complete.

Happy as a kid in a candy store... literally.

Remember when you were a kid and those rare occasions when your parents would actually let you stop in the candy store and let you pick something out?

Bin after bin of deliciousness.

The biggest worry you had was trying to pick the perfect thing.

Should you go with something sour?

Something chocolaty? My favorite was Rollo's.
 mmm chocolate and carmel. yum!

Then you would take it home and gobble it right up. Or in my sister Kristy's case save it and use it as a bargaining tool to get your siblings to do your chores.

Today we are going to have have an interview with the lovely blogger Babs so you folks can get to know her a little better.

1. What is something most people don't know about you?
I have heterochromia. Which is a variation in the coloration in the iris of your eyes. I have a brown spot in my left eye but it is not so big that it looks freaky.

2. What are you afraid of?
I am terrified of earth worms. I know most of you are like "seriously" but I can't help it. I would walk across the street to avoid one if I see it on the sidewalk. Give me a spider any day.

3. What is your favorite snack?
I adore fig newtons. "A cookie is just a cookie, but a Newton is fruit and cake." I don't buy them though because I would eat the whole package. I also love french onion dip and ruffles. --Also addicting.

4. What so you want to be when you grow up?
Ha Ha, once upon a time I wanted to be a photographer for National Geographic. But I get car sick very easily and that job entails lots of travel so I think I will settle for receptionist aka- administrative assistant-.

5. How many pets do you have?
I have 2 dogs, one of them a very rare breed of the three legged kind. (he was born that way so he doesn't miss it.) I also have 4 cats. One is very old. She turns 19 this year.

6. What is your favorite pass time?
I would have to say reading. I am a voracious reader. I read anything with words, shampoo bottles, cereal boxes, magazines, and books. I used to read encyclopedias. When I was in middle school they used to have book reading contests. I never participated because I did not want anyone to know I was reading a book a day. I still read a lot, just not as much. The librarians know me by name. I usually read one or two books a week now. My favorite are mysteries.

7. Any words of advise?
Stay true to yourself. Don't let others try to influence you. I think God helps by keeping your heart true. If you follow your heart you will be much happier in the long run.

8. Sounds very profound. You must be one smart cookie.
Of course I am. Something else to remember, don't ever buy knock off laundry soap or toilet paper. You will have to use twice and much and end up spending the same amount of money any way.
